YSMN & AHA Donate CPR Training Kit to Serrano Middle School
Serrano Middle School welcomed the American Heart Association (AHA) for a special assembly, made possible by a sponsorship from the Tribe. As part of the initiative, the Tribe donated a CPR in Schools Training Kit to the Highland-based school, featuring inflatable manikins; instructional videos; and materials designed to teach CPR, choking relief and AED use in a single-class period.
This research-backed approach helps students retain critical emergency response skills. Through a $10,000 sponsorship, the Tribe is also funding kits for three local schools, reinforcing community preparedness and the importance of bystander intervention in cardiac emergencies. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment by Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and AHA to youth empowerment, public health and safer schools.
