Nineteen students from the off-reservation boarding high school for Native Americans were provided equipment during the five-day camp in Riverside and had the opportunity to learn from two-time Stanley Cup champion Jordan Nolan.

Nolan, who is member of the First Nations community and played five seasons for the Kings, provided instructions to the students, who were between the ages of 14 and 18. They learned the basics of hockey, as well as lessons on teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play as they took their first strides on the ice rink. Nolan is involved in the We Are All Kings Initiative, which helps bring inclusivity to the sport through different programs in the community.
